Australia captain Ricky Ponting found the luck going his way as he was dropped on zero by Laxman at first slip off the bowling of Agarkar.

However, Ponting did not last long as he was soon caught by Laxman off Murali Kartik for 36.

He scored 257 runs in the tournament at an average of 42.83, with a century and half-century.
