ITIL profits rise 109 per cent

Email this story to a friend. The $900 million Usha Group's software company Information Technologies India Limited has registered a 109 per cent growth in net profit at Rs 125.2 million during the first quarter of 1999-2000 as against Rs 60 million in the same quarter last year.

According to a statement issued by ITIL in New Delhi, the company's sales figure have jumped from Rs 228.1 million in the first quarter of 1998-99 to Rs 453.4 million in financial 1999-2000, registering an increase of 99 per cent.

ITIL is the first Indian software company to substantially enter the product development segment and has launched products specific to networking, Euro solutions, handheld and palmtops, groupware and educational titles.

In a strategic move, the company evolved an Internet specific marketing strategy and products, especially meant for marketing through the Net, the statement added.
