HP announces new PC range for the 'e-family'

Email this story to a friend. Hewlett-Packard India has announced a new line of home PCs offering enhanced multimedia Internet keyboards, free Internet connections and plug-and-play features in the price range of Rs 50,000-85,000.

These new desktops are targeted at the e-family that is embracing the Internet by buying a home PC and is looking for Net features.

The 4500 and 8500 series provide multimedia capabilities, DVD drives and upgradability and expandability, a company statement said.

The 4500 range uses AMD chips while the 8500 series is powered by Celeron or Pentium III processors.

HP India also introduced a flicker free FX70 flat panel monitors with 'Perfect Colour' technology.

Their state-of-art IQsync technology synchronises the display to all known video modes and their compact footprint save frees desk space. It is priced at Rs 49,999.
