Minister of State for Communications Kabindra Purkayastha has commissioned an Internet service at the Central Telegraph Office in New Delhi.

He said the facility would immensely help outstation journalists working for small and medium newspapers who do not have their own offices in Delhi.

Later the minister visited the adjoining pressroom and enquired about working conditions there. He also assured journalists full cooperation from government, particularly for speedy dispatch of reports.
