Tata Honeywell dividend is 40 per cent

Email this story to a friend. Tata Honeywell has posted results for financial 1998-99 and the board has recommended a 40 per cent dividend on equity capital of Rs 88.4 million.

On a higher sales turnover at Rs 2.32 billion from previous year's Rs 1.77 billion, the company has achieved an operating profit before interest, depreciation and income tax of Rs 218.5 million (Rs 149.9 million).

Interest charges are Rs 58.1 million (Rs 62.6 million) and provisions for depreciation / amortisation amount to Rs 23.8 million (Rs 20.7 million).

After deducting, these charges and a provision for income tax, amounting to Rs 25.5 million (Rs 13 million) the profit after tax amount to Rs 111.1 million (Rs 53.6 million), the company release said.
