SAP makes piracy raids in BombayLocal commissioners appointed by the Delhi high court, accompanied by lawyers for SAP and technical experts of SAP India, raided training centres in Bombay and seized pirated software.
The raids were made on Infosystems International India Private Limited and Karrox Technologies Limited and 10 servers were found running pirated SAP R/3 software. These were being used for unauthorised SAP R/3 training.
SAP's action against Infosystems and Karrox is part of the company's continuing fight against piracy of SAP R/3, the sale of pirated copies of the software and unauthorised training.
We are concerned about the copyright infringement of SAP R/3 and even more so, by the fact that unauthorised training centres misrepresent the kind of training and career opportunities they offer, Bob Armstrong, senior vice-president training, SAP South Asia, stated in a release.
