Tata Cellular launches 'Costa Corridor'

The corridor links the entire stretch of 450 km for continuous coverage between these important coastal business centres.

The facility, equipped with 12 high-power cellular towers, besides providing continuous coverage between Guntur and Visakhapatnam, will also provide cellular connectivity to several towns along Visakhapatnam, Teleprolu, Unguturu, Tanuku, Jaggampeta, Kalkipudi, Uddandapuram, Yellamanchali, Satram and the jaggery town of Anakapalle.

The cellular services are already available at Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Guntur, Eluru, Rajahmundry and Visakhapatnam.

Tata Cellular has installed 53 cellular towers in the state, of which 29 are located in Hyderabad alone.

This facility will enable Tata Cellular subscribers to not only use cellular phones inside the city but stay connected while travelling long distances in the state.

Tata Cellular, which is one of the two cellular service providers in the state along with JTM, has set up this massive infrastructure across the state.

The task is considered more cumbersome than covering a city because of the geographical, climatic and other hurdles.
