The Fourth R opens centre in Madras

Email this story to a friend. The Fourth R, the US-based children's computer educator with 210 centres throughout the world, has started a learning centre in Madras.

The centre has been established through its Indian master licensee, Interactive Learning Solution Private Limited of Madras.

According to Krishna Sai and Karthik Karunakaran, the people behind the venture, the computer education market for children is estimated to reach roughly Rs 100 billion by 2005 and The Fourth R plans to capture a significant portion of it.

ILS plans to open about 50 branches throughout India within 18 months and the investment is expected to be around Rs 60 million, including the franchisee centres.

By the end of two years, the total turnover is expected to be around Rs 200 million.
