The introductory billing fee is Rs 600 per month, exclusive of activation charges.

Senior company executives say the facility allows one to receive email on a pager, as many times a day as one wants, from associates, friends and relatives located anywhere in the world.

"You can also reply to messages received. All you have to do is call our HP attendant and dictate your message on the phone. Thereafter, we would send the message anywhere in the world," a company officer claimed.

Obviously, an email or Internet connection is essential on the other side for this two-way communication.

For sending an email messages to a pager, one just has to address the email to the pager number concerned, located at the messageindia.com site and the message will be delivered within 5 to 30 minutes.

Similarly, through a 10-digit telephone number, unique to each customer, one can send a message to anybody around the world, provided the person has an email address.

Apart from the corporate traveller who is constantly on the move, non-resident Indians who need to be in touch with their families back home and who want to minimise the total costs of communication are expected to form the major chunk of clients.

The third category of people pertains to exporters, importers, realtors and consultants for whom low costs are the main consideration.

And lastly, systems managers who needed to send emails directly onto pagers for monitoring performance and systems uptime are also expected to avail of this service, the experts added.
