Sun Microsystems posts 69% growth in India

Sun Microsystems in Asia, which includes ASEAN and India grew by an impressive 40 per cent in revenues for calendar year 1997 over 1996.

"We are very pleased with such a growth in this region, especially with the economic uncertainties as the backdrop during the last six months of 1997. It is a strong testimony to the fact that the Internet and intranet technologies as well as the new Java computing paradigm are taking hold in the region.
