Osho to the rescue

Sachin Tendulkar's back problem has attracted the attention of the Pune-based Osho Commune International.

The commune has jumped on the help-Sachin bandwagon. ''We invite Sachin to spend a week at the Osho Commune to get his back fixed by one of our experts,'' Swami Chaitanya Keerti, spokesman for the commune, said in a statement on Wednesday.

The commune, Swami Keerti said, is known for its variety of healing therapies and currently has an American, Swami Rantu, who specialises in athletic injuries.

Swami Rantu, who recently retired from a successful practice in Baltimore, USA, has a doctorate in science and chiropractise and is a licensed physical therapist, nutritionist, radiologist and acupunturist, Swami Keerti said, adding that he (Rantu) is the ideal man to help Sachin overcome his injury once and for all.

Swami Rantu, who had been able to restore the sensitivity to the playing hand of a leading guitarist accompanying American singer Paul Simon, has offerd his services to India's most famous sports star, stating that Osho's sanyasis have developed their own form of healing bodywork to which Osho had given the name of ''rebalancing'',which is now practiced over the world.
