Hollywood superstar Arnold Schwarzenegger was among 135 candidates who on Wednesday qualified to run for governor of California.

The others include porn publisher Larry Flynt,  porn star Mary Carey (22), former television child star Gary Coleman, comedian Leo Gallagher and middle-weight sumo wrestler Kurt Rightmeyer.

The 135 candidates were screened from 247 hopefuls who had submitted a $3,500 deposit and a list of 65 supporters to contest the elections if Governor Gray Davis is ousted in an October 7 recall vote.

Moments after the announcement, all Schwarzenegger movies - including the Terminator series, Total Recall and True Lies - were barred in California, though the ban does not apply to cable networks.

Earlier, Schwarzenegger named billionaire investment wizard Warren Buffet as his chief economic adviser. "I have known Arnold for years and know he'll be a great governor," Buffett said in a statement.
