Arnold Schwarzenegger may still be undecided whether to run for the post of California governor, but another high-profile celebrity has already made public his desire to enter the fray.

Larry Flynt, who has earned fame and fortune publishing a sexually-explicit magazine, said he has completed the initial paperwork and may spend a large amount of his own money to get elected if people take his candidature seriously.

Flynt is a registered Democrat, a civil libertarian and free speech advocate. He said that if Democrats in the state choose him to represent the party against the Republicans, he would solve California's budget problems easily by expanding slot machine gambling. His holdings include several casinos.

The 61-year-old businessman said, "California is the most progressive state in the Union. I don't think anyone here will have a problem with a smut peddler as governor."

There are 250 aspiring Democrats in the fray if the incumbent, Gray Davis, faces a recall move.

Terminator star Arnold Schwarzenneger will disclose on Wednesday whether he intends to enter the battle for the
California governorship as a Republican.
