Pakistani politician to cage himself over US strikes

A Pakistani politician has vowed to confine himself in a cage if the US does not stop bombing Afghanistan during the Islamic holy month of Ramadan, reports Online agency.

Former minority affairs minister J Salik, who is also the convenor of a group called World Minority Alliance, made the bizarre announcement on Wednesday evening.

US military strikes during Ramadan, which begins November 17, 'poses a threat to Muslim-Christian unity', he said.
