Osama will be turned over to International Court of Justice: Karzai

The head of Afghanistan's new interim government Hamid Karzai on Monday said terrorist mastermind Osama Bin Laden, if arrested, would be handed over to the International Court of Justice.

Maintaining that whereabouts of bin Laden was still unknown, he told Fox News, "We hope he (Osama) will be nabbed together with his associates and we will do exactly what justice requires."

Describing bin Laden as a 'criminal who killed thousands, destroyed orchards and did many other horrible things', Karzai said, "If we catch him, we will hand him over to the International Court of Justice."

On Taliban chief Mullah Mohammed Omar, he said, "We do not know where Mullah Omar is. We are looking for him and we have told people and authorities to find him and take him to court."

"He must be tried and tried for the crimes he committed against the Afghan people and for his association with terrorism," Karzai said.
