A notorious gangster, wanted in 14 criminal cases, was injured in a gunfight with the police in Odisha's Sambalpur district. The incident occurred during vehicle checking when the gangster's car was signalled to stop, leading to a chase and exchange of fire.
A 52-year-old man in Odisha, India, allegedly died by suicide after killing his wife, daughter-in-law, and granddaughter following a domestic dispute. He was found hiding atop a water tank and consumed poison during a rescue attempt.
