A court in Toronto has sentenced a man to life imprisonment for the murder of Indian student Kartik Vasudev, rejecting his plea of not being criminally responsible due to a mental disorder.
21-year-old Indian student Kartik Vasudev was murdered in St James Town, a neighbourhood of Toronto.
The victim, identified as Kartik Vasudev, had been shot at an entrance of the subway station in Toronto.
Kartik was shot on Thursday evening at the Glen Road entrance to Sherbourne TTC station in St James Town. He was rushed to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
