Third seeds Leander Paes and Jurgen Melzer of Austria battled their way into the semi-finals of the Shanghai Masters, beating Rohan Bopanna and Aisam-ul-haq Qureshi on Friday.
Paes-Melzer lost the first set, but fought back brilliantly against the younger Indo-Pak combination to win the quarter-final 6-7(6), 7-6(6), 10-4.
Paes and Melzer will meet top seeds Mike and Bob Bryan, who stormed into the final, beating the seventh seeded pair of Michal Mertinak and Frantisek Cermak 6-3, 6-2 in another quarter-final.
The Bryan brothers are seeking their fifth straight ATP World Tour Masters 1000 title.
Fourth seeds Lukasz Kubot and Oliver Marach also made it to the last four stage. They got the better of fifth seeds Mahesh Bhupathi and his Belarusian partner Max Mirnyi 6-4, 3-6, 10-6.
