India win silver in billiards doubles

India had to settle for a silver medal in the billiards doubles event at the Asian Games on Sunday after the fancied pair of Geet Sethi and Alok Kumar lost in the final.

Sethi and Kumar went down by one frame to two to Paraprut Chaithanasakun and Mongkhow Kanfaklang of Thailand.

The Thais won 62-100, 100-14, 100-69 to snatch the gold medal from India, who had won the event in the previous edition of the Games in Bangkok.

U Kyaw Oo and U Aung San Oo of Malaysia took the bronze.

Pakistan's Mohammad Hussain Khalil and Mohammed Yousuf finished fourth.
