    Alonso became the youngest double champion in the sport's history. Renault also clinched the Constructors' Championship with a 5-point gap over Ferrari

    After McLaren and Alonso had mutually agreed to terminate his contract, Alonso signed a two-year contract with the French team(Renault)

    Alonso replaced Kimi Raikkonen of Ferrari team in 2010. His contract covered three seasons (2010-2012) for Ferrari and it was extended for another two years
