Sania Mirza [Images] and Chinese Taipei's Chia-Jung Chuang overcame a late fightback from second seeded Anabel Medina Garrigues and Virginia Ruano Pascual of Spain to storm into the semi-finals of the $4,500,000 Sony Ericsson Open tennis tournament in Miami [Images] on Wednesday.

The Indo-Taiwanese pair won 6-3, 7-6(4).

Sania and Chuang next play the winner of the match between third seeds Kveta Peschke Of Czech Republic and American Lisa Raymond [Images] and Americans Raquel Kops-Jones and Abigail Spears.
