Indian Formula One driver Narain Karthikeyan will race in the A1 Grand Prix for the second time this season at Durban, South Africa on Sunday.

Karthikeyan, who became India's first Formula One driver in 2005 and is now a test driver with Williams, helped Team India score their first points of the season in the A1 race in New Zealand last month.

"I'm delighted to be rejoining the team in South Africa," he said in a team statement on Wednesday. "The New Zealand race was very much a learning process.

"I've been busy with the Williams F1 team since then and unfortunately had to miss the last race in Australia," he said. "Now I can't wait to get back in the car and represent India in A1 GP."

The driver had spurned offers from A1 last season, saying he wanted to regain a regular drive with an established F1 team.

However, he has not been successful and has said he would use the opportunity in A1 to race again.
