Jonas Bjorkman and Max Mirnyi beat American brothers Bob and Mike Bryan in the French Open men's doubles final for the second successive year in Paris on Saturday.

Swede Bjorkman and Belarussian Mirnyi, the second seeds, won a tight tussle 6-7, 6-4, 7-5 on centre court at Roland Garros.

They broke decisively for 6-5 in the third set and Bjorkman delivered a big first serve on their first match point to secure victory.

The pairing also beat the Bryans in three sets last year at Roland Garros but the Americans then came out on top in the US Open final and they also won the 2006 Australian Open title.

The Bryan brothers, who were top seeds in Paris, are the first men's doubles team in the professional era to reach six successive Grand Slam doubles finals.
