Jyoti Randhawa fought back brilliantly in fading light with three birdies in the last four holes for a tied second place before rain brought an early end to the third day of the USD 2 million Singapore Open at the Serapong Golf Course in Santosa.

Randhawa was lying 12th, but many above him were among the 15 players yet to finish after a heavy downpour made the ground soggy and the rough even more difficult to tackle.

None of the ten players still par or under for the tournament had finished, including Arjun Singh [Images], who was one-over for 16 holes in the third round and two-over for the tournament, lying in tenth position.

The 15 players yet to finish their third round will come back early tomorrow morning before the the start of the fourth round.

"I dropped a shot immediately on resumption on 12th and again on 13th," said Randhawa on a 3-1/2-hour stoppage for rain and lightning.

"That was when I decided to go all out. I attacked and was rewarded with three birdies in last fur holes." He also had a makeable putt for birdie on 16th, but just missed out.

Edward Michaels, par for the 14 holes he played today, was at six-under, while four others - Andrew Buckle, Anthony Kang, Adam Scott and Mahal Pearce - were at four-under with four holes to go.

The clubhouse leader was Alistair Presnell, whose four-under 67 in the morning helped him to one-over 214 for the tournament.
