Friday's friendly between African champions Tunisia and the Democratic Republic of Congo was abandoned in the 65th minute following the third pitch invasion of the game in Paris.

The match was abandoned by French referee Alain Garibian after Tunisian fans invaded the stade Charlety pitch when striker Santos scored for their team to make it 2-2.

The game had also been briefly halted after Congo supporters invaded the pitch when Eale Lutula netted for their side in the 57th minute.

The first stoppage was caused after Tunisian fans went on to the playing surface when Chaouki Ben Saada scored for their team in the 19th minute.

There were no incidents after the game.

The last time an international was abandoned in France [Images] due to a pitch invasion was on Oct. 6 2001 when Algerian fans went on to the playing surface in the 77th minute of a friendly against France at the stade de France.
