Play in the Wimbledon men's semi-final between Andy Roddick [Images] and Thomas Johansson was abandoned for the day because of rain at 2346 IST on Friday.

The players came off Centre Court at 2135 when rain started falling and continuing drizzle has caused the referee to rule out any further play. The match will be completed on Saturday.

American Roddick was leading 6-5 in the first set with Swede Johansson to serve as the pair battled for a place in the final against defending champion Roger Federer [Images], who earlier beat Lleyton Hewitt [Images] 6-3, 6-4, 7-6.
