Defending champion Joshna Chinappa moved into the girls' singles semi-finals in the 12th Asian Junior squash championship in Chennai on Friday.

The top seed defeated Low Wee Wern of Malaysia 9-2, 9-7, 9-2 in 31 minutes.

She will take on Delia Arnold of Malaysia next.

Arnold defeated Hong Kong's Joey Chan 9-4, 4-9, 9-10, 10-9, 10-8 in 83 minutes.

The other semi-final will be between Sally Looi of Malaysia and second seeded Anne kAu of Hong Kong.

In their respective quarter-final matches, Looi took 45 minutes to beat Chiu Ka Kei of Hong Kong 9-0, 9-3, 4-9, 7-9, 9-1, while Anne Au scored a 9-2, 9-4, 9-2 victory over Dipika Pallikal of India.
