Sharan, Sanam win in second round

Local boy Divij Sharan and Chandigarh's Sanam Singh registered convincing wins to keep alive their hopes of qualifying for the main draw of the USD 15,000 ITF Men's Futures tennis tournament in New Delhi on Saturday.

Sharan defeated Saurav Sukul 6-3, 6-4 while Sanam beat Honey Rana 6-3, 6-4 in the second round of the qualifying draw at the DLTA Grounds in New Delhi.

Other Indians making it to the last qualifying round were Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan, Rahil Makharia, Gursharan Singh, A Rajagopalan, Aditya Madkekar, Yannick Nelord and J Vishnu Vardhan.
