Nitin Kannamwar to officiate at French Open

Senior chair umpire Nitin Kannamwar has been chosen to officiate at the French Open tennis championships, beginning May 24.

Kannamwar, who has officiated at Grand Slam events during past couple of years, will also officiate at Wimbledon from June 13 along with the youngest brown badge woman umpire in Asia, Payal Jain, and former National-ranked player Ritu Sharma, Maharashtra State Lawn Tennis Association secretary Sharad Kannamwar said on Friday.

Both Nitin and Payal had represented Maharashtra.
