Djabir Saïd-Guerni of Algeria beat Yuriy Borzakovskiy of Russia on the line to win the men's 800 metres.
The 26-year-old timed 1:44.81 seconds. Borzakovskiy finished second in 1:44.84, while Mbulaeni Mulaudzi of South Africa took the bronze in 1:44.90 seconds.
