The Davis Cup
Australia, spearheaded by Mark Phillipoussis and Lleyton Hewitt, crushed the Spanish challenge of Juan Carlos Ferrero and Carlos Moya 3-1 to win the Davis Cup for the 28th time.
"The feeling is bad and of sadness. We came here with a lot of hope," a despondent Ferrero later said.
