The Italian Grand Prix

Michael Schumacher won the Italian Grand Prix duel with title rival Juan Pablo Montoya to stretch his precarious Formula One lead to three points. Rubens Barrichello finished in third place.

It was Schumacher's fifth win of the 2003 season and 50th as a Ferrari driver.

The title race heated up with Schumacher on 82 points to Montoya's 79 and Raikkonen on 75.
