Becker separated from Setlur?

G Sudhakar Nair in Berlin

Boris Becker and the rap singer of Indian origin Sabrina Setlur are rumoured to have ended their romantic liason, amidst reports that the German tennis legend is yearning to go back to his wife whom he divorced six weeks back.

German tabloids and some broadcasting networks in Frankfurt are agog with speculations that Becker and Setlur may have separated and are not seeing each other with some of them going to the extent of describing their relationship as nothing but a "brief sexual affair".

Thirty-three-year-old Becker appeared to be the centre of attention of the tabloid press for yet another time in the past three months after the Hesse Broadcasting Network reported in its 'Manpower' radio programme that it is all over between the tennis star and the 26-year old hip hop artiste.

Setlur, who lives near Frankfurt, the biggest city of Hesse, is the eldest of the two daughters of a Kannadiga banker and a Malayalee nurse.

Becker had confirmed just one month back that Setlur was the new woman in his life after the German media zoomed in on their relationship as the possible reasons for the end of Becker's seven-year marriage.

Setlur was quoted as having said recently in the German media that her relationship with Becker was under "tremendous pressure" and was facing difficulties to measure up to it.

Meanwhile, the Bild tabloid reported that Barbara and Boris are on the path to reconciliation.

The German language tabloid reported that the tennis star spent ten days with his ex-wife on Fisher Island, three days more than planned.

On his return to Munich, Becker is believed to have told close friends that he and his ex-wife always had a good relationship. They now want to be a pair - for their children, the paper said.
