Television replays revealed that the delivery from Akram may have caressed the bottom of the West Australian's bat on its way to wicketkeeper Moin Khan. Langer was 76 at the time and went on to score 129. To add fuel to the fire came the revelation that Parker had apologised to Langer for giving him out in the Aussie first innings.
