The Congress leader alleged that Gadkari had spent crores of rupees during his son's wedding in Nagpur, where "two lakh people had been invited".

"Let him answer (on the wedding expenses)," Singh said. After Anna Hazare "took away" the corruption issue, nobody was interested in listening to the Bharatiya Janata Party leaders talking about corruption, he said.

Dubbing senior BJP leader L K Advani's proposed rath yatra against corruption and Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi's ongoing fast as political gimmicks, Singh said BJP had not acted against or jailed any of its leaders who were facing corruption accusations.

He recalled cases such as Kargil coffins scam and Tehelka sting operation. The Congress, he said, had not spared any of its leaders accused of corruption.
