India's Ambassador to the US Taranjit Singh Sandhu traveled all the way from 2107 Massachusetts Ave NW, where the Indian embassy is located in Washington, DC to Alaska to view Yudh Abhyas, the military exercise involving soldiers of the India and US armies.

IMAGE: The location and terrain for Yudh Abhyas is interesting since Indian troops are currently engaged in a stand-off with China's People's Liberation Army in the icy heights of Ladakh.
The temperature in Alaska on Tuesday, October 19, when Yudh Abhyas began was 4 degrees Centigrade.
Minimum temperatures in Ladakh in October can fall to minus 9 degrees Centigrade, which does not include the wind chill factor at those high altitudes. Photograph: SandhuTaranjitS/Twitter/PTI/Photo
