Two more held for trying to access Jaitley's phone records

The Delhi police have arrested a man identified as Anurag and his associate for trying to access Bharatiya Janata Party leader Arun Jaitley’s phone records.

A special team of the Delhi police is now on its way to Uttrakhand, where they are likely to question two senior leaders of the BJP, at whose behest Aunurag allegedly collected information about Jaitey’s telephone records.

The arrest of Anurag and his associate was carried out on Monday night after the police arrested Neeraj Ram, a private detective.

"The detective spilled the beans (about the case). After carefully going through the disclosures made by Neeraj Ram, Deputy Commissioner S N Srivatav decided to send a team to Uttrakhand," a senior police officer told

When asked if the phone of any other national leader had also been tapped, the official refused to give any details.

"Wait for the investigations in Uttarakhand to get over. The case can have national repercussions," he said.

The case came to the limelight when Delhi Police Constable Arvind Dabas was detained for trying to get the call details of Jaitley.
