Six railway personnel, including a station master and two engineers, have been suspended in connection with Thursday's mishap at Samlaya, which left 17 people dead and over eighty injured.
Commissioner of Railway Safety Prashant Kumar on Saturday began a probe into the accident.
Two officials were suspended on April 21, the day of the accident, while four others were suspended on Friday, Western Railway Chief Public Relations Officer Shailendra Kumar said.
