The Supreme Court on Thursday refused to lift the ban imposed on the Students Islamic Movement of India since 2001.
A Bench of Justice Arijit Pasayat and Justice L S Panta made it clear that it was not inclined to entertain the SIMI petition.
The SIMI counsel then withdrew the petition, which was dismissed as "withdrawn".
