The Supreme Court Friday issued notices to the Centre and all state governments on a plea seeking framing of guidelines for employing children in circuses.
Acting on a plea by a non governmental organisation, a Bench of Justice AR Lakshmanan and Justice Dalveer Bhandari also sought response of the Centre and the states vis-a-vis directing the Central Bureau of Investigation to raid circuses and check violations, if any, of fundamental rights of children working there.
