Sanjay Naik (25), the driver of Bharatiya Janata Party leader Rajnath Singh's car, which collided with a bus near Salalla village around 80km from Ahmedabad, succumbed to injuries on Monday morning.
Rajnath Singh and two others, who were in the car, escaped with injuries.
The
BJP leader was canvassing for party candidates in the area when the accident took place.
Caretaker Chief Minister Narendra Modi visited Singh in the hospital.
