Many places in North India lashed by rains

Many parts of Punjab, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh received a fresh spell of rainfall on Thursday.

In Haryana, Ambala, Kalka, Panchkula, Jatusana, Faridabad, Hathin, Hassanpur, Narwana, Palwal, Hodal, Jind, Hisar, Uchana and Rohtak were lashed by rains, according to the Meteorological Department in Delhi.

Chandigarh was also lashed by showers (25.2 mm). Heavy rain lashed parts of the city this evening, mostly northern sectors and pools of water had collected along the roundabouts.

Amritsar was lashed by 17.2 mm of rain while Patiala had 20.4 mm of rain.

Srinagar had 2 mm of rain, the Met department said.

In Himachal Pradesh, Shimla recorded 17 mm of rain during the day, while Sundernagar, Pandoh, Kasol, Kahu and Dhundi also received some showers.
