Lashker-e-Tayiba militant Mohammed Naved Yakub was on Wednesday flown in here by National Investigation Agency for pursuing certain leads thrown up during his interrogation.
After completing his polygraph test, which continued for 10 hours with a medical break in between, Naved, who is in his early 20s and hails from Faisalabad area of Pakistan, was brought in a special plane from Delhi and immediately whisked to an undisclosed location.
While the NIA was silent about taking Naved to Kashmir, sources said that immediately after his arrival some raids took place in South Kashmir.
Besides, all the places he had stayed in were being identified as a routine to meet the legal requirements of the case.
The NIA has registered a case under various sections of Indian Penal Code and Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act against Naved and his accomplice who had fired on a Border Security Force convoy on August five killing two personnel.
Naved was subjected to lie detector test yesterday as he had made 'contradictory and misleading' statements about his Indian contacts and the route taken his group to infiltrate India.
During the test for which Naved had given written consent, he is believed to have been questioned about how many people were with him when the group infiltrated Jammu and Kashmir and people he had met and lived with during his two-month stay in the state.
Sources in the NIA said Naved had been giving conflicting statements about the strength of the group and the route taken by it to sneak into India, besides those with whom he came into contact in Jammu & Kashmir.
The detailed analysis of his polygraph test was expected over the weekend, the sources said.
The NIA has also released two sketches of LeT terrorists, who were claimed to have infiltrated Jammu and Kashmir's Gulmarg sector with Naved. The anti-terror agency also announced a cash reward of Rs five lakh to anyone providing information leading to their arrest.
The two have been identified as Zarghan alias Mohammed Bhai, aged about 38-40 years, and Abu Okasha, around 17-18 years old.
The NIA has also taken DNA and voice samples of Naved who was overpowered by the locals following the attack on a BSF bus in Udhampur district of Jammu. His accomplice Mohammed Noman alias Momin was killed in retaliatory firing by the BSF.
