J&K highway closed again

March 13, 2005 18:57 IST

The Jammu-Srinagar National Highway was on Sunday closed again for vehicular traffic due to fresh landslide in the Raman-Banihal stretch.

Over 2,000 vehicles are stranded on the 300-km long route, official sources said. A heavy traffic jam in the Patnitop-Udhampur stretch was also reported, they said.

Men and machines of the Border Road Organisation have been pressed into service to clear the NH, they added.
