Bharatiya Janata Party president Lal Kishenchand Advani on Wednesday met senior party leader Keshubhai Patel and some other members of Parliament from Gujarat.
The meeting was a "routine weekly one" where the MPs discussed the issues concerning the state, Advani said.
Sources said the leaders discussed the need to have a mechanism for better coordination between the party and the state government.
There has been growing resentment in the state BJP over the functioning of Chief Minister Narendra Modi.
