The hard-line faction of the Hurriyat Conference on Wednesday alleged that India wanted to use the opening of the Srinagar-Muzaffarbad road as a 'bargaining point' with Pakistan to get the Line of Control converted into the international border.
"Defence Minister Pranab Mukherjee has said in Parliament that passports were not used [for passengers] on the Srinagar-Muzaffarabad bus as Azad Kashmir was part of India and entry permits would be enough [for the travel]," its chairman Syed Ali Shah Geelani told reporters in Srinagar.
The bus service was being run to facilitate India's 'gameplan' to get the LoC converted into the international border, he said. Pakistan has fallen into the 'Indian trap', he added.
He advocated the inclusion of militant groups, led by United Jehad Council, the umbrella organisation of militants based at Pakistan-occupied Kashmir-based, in the dialogue process to resolve the Kashmir issue.
"Kashmir is not a territorial dispute but concerns the right to self-determination of 1.3 crore people of Jammu and Kashmir," he said.
