At least five people were on Sunday injured in a powerful bomb blast in the busy Athgaon area in the heart of Guwahati.
"The blast took place in front of a building during rush hour in the evening," state Director General of Police Hare Krishna Deka told PTI in Guwahati.
Investigations are on, he said.
