Anti-Naxal ops: No army use, says defence ministry

The Union defence ministry and the home ministry differed significantly on key points while discussing the government's anti-Naxal operations during the Cabinet Committee on Security meeting in New Delhi [Images] on Thursday.

Defence ministry was opposed to the use of special forces for the anti-Naxal operations, a report said. Defence was also against Indian Air Force choppers being used to ferry troops, the report added
