Security arrangements were beefed up in Gujarat on Tuesday following the Modasa blast, which killed a teenager and injured 10 others, the police said.

"Security has been beefed up in the entire state following the blast and keeping in mind Navratri celebrations," Minister of State for Home Amit Shah said.

"Security measures have been stepped up in Ahmedabad [Images] city ahead of Navratri celebrations," Joint Commissioner of Police H P Singh said.

Teams of various investigating agencies like the Anti-terrorism Squad and police from other districts of the state have rushed to Modasa, 150 km from Ahmedabad.

"Teams from ATS, Gandhinagar district police and Mehasana district police have reached Modasa to probe the low-intensity explosions on Monday night," the police said.

"Teams of FSL from Gandhinagar and Vadodara has also reached the town to collect evidence and conduct analysis of the blasts," they added.

Meanwhile, Modasa, where the low-intensity blast took place on Monday, in the minority dominated area of Sukha Bazar, remained calm and there was no report of any untoward incident.

A 15-year-old boy was killed and several injured in the blast.

Security has been beefed up in the town.
