Sudhakar was stated to have taken to spirituality many years ago was formally given 'deeksha' (ordained as a saint) 14 years ago in 1994. He was elevated as head of the Jammu-based Hindu monastery in 2003.
"We should be able to get greater details of his antecedents once ATS sleuths have completed his interrogation," UP additional director general of police Brij Lal told media persons.
"The Nasik court order entitles the Maharastra ATS to question and interogate him for the purposes of the Malegaon blasts, and the UP ATS has been asked to provide all assistance to them," Lal said.
